TIM GAISSER (Drums)
Raised in Evansville Indiana, Tim picked up a set of drumsticks and began taking lessons at the age of 17. After high school he switched from pursuing engineering to music as he attended the University of Evansville. Tim completed his four year Bachelors program in Classical Music Performance with a minor in Jazz Studies. To earn the Jazz Minor, he studied under and played in the University Big Band directed by Dr. Timothy Zifer. Notable performances with the Big Band included multiple appearances at the Elmhurst Jazz Festival in Chicago, and a Big Band feature in which Tim drummed alongside the legendary Max Weinberg. After graduation, Tim attended New York University's Broadway Percussion Program where he played in clinics headed by the percussionists from shows such as Spiderman: Turn off the Dark, Mama Mia, Pirates of Penzance, the Tony Awards, and more. Tim resided in Evansville through 2013 in which he did various freelance and teaching gigs along with playing in the Evansville Philharmonic. Throughout 2014 he studied Jazz in St. Louis along with playing in The Sherpas Jazz Quartet and the Matt McCallie Jazz Orchestra. Presently, Tim resides in Los Angeles where he has continued his musical education at LACM under Ralph Humphrey, Joe Porcaro, Tony Inzalaco, and Tim Curle as well as earning the Avid Pro Tools Certification under the production department.
